I am a doctoral student in Social and Personality Psychology at the University of California, Riverside. I have a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University and currently work in the Positive Psychology Research Lab under the direction of Sonja Lyubomirsky.

My research focuses on sustainable happiness and the importance of positive character strengths such as humility and generosity.

Before going back to school, I worked as a computer programmer in the non-profit sector for over 10 years. I have experience with relational databases, rich Internet applications, and online commerce.

I enjoy travelling and jetting off to Taiwan to see my wife’s family and shop at Taiwanese convenience stores. Previously, I also lived in China and Thailand, and I enjoy studying languages.
